Which Day Should I Avoid Near the Logan Square Monument?
Last updated: October 2026
Sunday farmers market mornings in season. We schedule around it automatically.
The square around the Logan Square monument is the heart of the neighborhood. On most days, it's a busy intersection with a lot of character. On Sunday mornings during market season, it's packed. Shoppers and strollers fill the area. Bikes and vendors too, and nearby parking gets tight. A moving truck trying to load or unload in the middle of all that loses time.
Why Sunday mornings matter
Crowds. The sidewalks and streets near the square fill with people.
Parking. Curb space near the market disappears early.
Traffic. Getting a truck in and out of the area takes longer.
Slow carries. Every trip from the door to the truck is slower through a crowd.
How we handle it
When you book a move near the monument, we look at the day. If it's a Sunday during market season, we plan around it. That might mean a different day, a later start once the market winds down, or a truck position that keeps clear of the busiest blocks. You don't have to remember. We take care of it, the same way we check the Cubs schedule for Wrigleyville moves and the festival calendar for moves near Lincoln Square, because the best time to dodge a crowd is before the truck is ever in it.
