The Northwestern calendar shapes this town's moving year: late August and early September are a crush of student and faculty arrivals, and June reverses the flow. We hold extra capacity for those windows. Off-campus, Evanston's vintage courtyard buildings and three-flats demand walk-up expertise, while its grand older homes near the lake reward the careful, antique-aware handling our crews are known for.

Evanston is stricter than most suburbs: many residential zones require posted permits for moving trucks, and the city issues them with advance notice. Buildings near campus add their own elevator and timing rules in September. We handle the permit timing and building coordination as part of scheduling — it's the most paperwork-heavy suburb we serve, and we've got the routine down.

Local moves start as low as $407 for studios and 1-bedrooms, $540 for 2-bedrooms, $675 for 3-bedrooms, and $810 for homes with 4+ bedrooms. Student-sized moves sit at the low end; lakefront family homes at the top.

Evanston-to-Chicago is one of the busiest two-way corridors we run — Rogers Park, Edgewater, and Lakeview are minutes away, and many Evanston residents are former city dwellers who made the short hop north.
