Do You Sell Bubble Wrap?
Last updated: October 2026
No, and that's on purpose. We skip it.
Packing paper wraps and cushions fragile items. Shrink wrap locks and protects. Between the two of them, they cover what that plastic does, without the cost. It's what our own crews use, so it's what we sell.
What packing paper does
Packing paper is the workhorse of fragile packing. It does three jobs at once.
It wraps. Each glass, plate, and bowl gets its own layer.
It cushions. Crumpled paper fills the gaps in a box so nothing shifts.
It separates. Layers of paper keep items from knocking against each other.
A well-packed dishpack with plenty of paper protects dishes and glasses very well, and it's the same method our own crews use when they pack a full kitchen, from the everyday plates to the wedding china that only comes out on holidays. Read which boxes do I actually need for how the dishpack fits in.
What shrink wrap does
Shrink wrap is the other half. It's a stretchy plastic film that clings to itself.
It protects. It keeps dust and dirt off furniture and upholstery.
It holds things together. Drawers stay shut. Loose parts stay put.
It locks padding in place. Moving blankets stay wrapped around a piece of furniture.
Why not the other stuff?
It's bulky, it takes up a lot of room in a box, and it costs more for what it does. Paper is simpler. Paper and shrink wrap together do the same job and leave more room for your things. That's why our crews don't use it, and why we don't stock it.
For the really fragile pieces
Some things need more than paper. Art, mirrors, glass tabletops, and heirlooms can go in a mirror and glass pack. For oversized, glass-faced, or high-value pieces, we build custom crates ourselves. Read do you build custom crates for art, mirrors, and fragile items.
TVs get their own box, which is free to use on moving day. Read are the wardrobe and TV boxes really free.
Wrapping a glass, the paper way
Lay a few sheets flat. Set the glass on its side at one corner. Roll it up, tucking the ends inside as you go. Set it in the box with crumpled paper packed around it.
Furniture protection
Furniture gets moving blankets, which we always give for free during a move, and shrink wrap to hold them in place. Shrink wrap is charged separately.
