Are the Wardrobe and TV Boxes Really Free?
Are the Wardrobe and TV Boxes Really Free?
Last updated: October 2026
Yes. They're free to use on moving day, and we collect them before the crew leaves. If you'd rather keep them, you can buy them. What we don't do is lend them out between moves.
People are often surprised by this one. Pleasantly. Wardrobe boxes and TV boxes are two of the most useful boxes in a move, and they're also two of the most expensive to buy. So we bring them to your move for you to use at no charge.
How it works
Our crew brings them. Wardrobe boxes and TV boxes arrive with the truck on moving day.
You use them for the move. Your clothes go in the wardrobe boxes, and your TV goes in the TV box.
They come off the truck. At the new home, the clothes come out of the wardrobe boxes and the TV comes out of its box.
We take the boxes back. The crew collects them before they leave.
Wardrobe boxes
A wardrobe box lets your clothes travel closet to closet, still on their hangers. No folding, no wrinkles, no unpacking a pile of shirts at the other end. Hang them in the box, hang them back up in the new closet, and you're done. It's one of the easiest ways to save time on a move, and anyone who has ever folded an entire closet into regular boxes and then spent the first week in a new home ironing shirts knows exactly how much time it saves.
TV boxes
TVs are fragile and awkward. Their screens crack easily, and most people don't keep the original box. A TV box gives your TV real protection on the truck. Our TV box is free to use on moving day.
Wanting to keep them?
If you'd like to keep the wardrobe or TV boxes after the move, you can buy them. Our moving supplies page lists the prices.
Why we don't lend them out
The free boxes are for moving day. We bring them, you use them, we take them back. We don't lend them out between moves, so if you need them for packing ahead of time or for storage, buying them is the way to go.
