Before anything gets carried, we set up a full home-protection kit in both your old place and your new one. The goal is simple: when we drive away, the only sign we were there is your furniture, right where you want it.

What goes down before we lift a thing

Our crews protect the parts of your home that take the most abuse on moving day:

• Floor runners in the hallways, entryways, and anywhere the crew and dollies travel most, guarding your floors against dirt, grit, and the wear of heavy foot traffic.
• Door-jamb protectors that clip onto your door frames. The corners of doorways are where a passing sofa or armoire tends to leave a mark, and these cushion them.
• Stair coverings, since stairs are the trickiest part of most moves and the easiest place to scuff a wooden step or wear down a carpet.
• Carpet protection when your floors call for it, especially handy on a rainy or snowy Chicago day, to keep water and grit from getting tracked across your living room.

Protecting your walls, not just your floors

The care does not stop at floor level. Every piece of furniture gets wrapped in thick moving blankets before it leaves its spot.
