What Is Your Cancellation Policy?
Plans change. A closing slips, a lease date moves, life happens. Our cancellation policy is built to be fair about that while still respecting the crew's schedule. The short version: give us at least 24 hours' notice and there is no fee. Cancel inside that 24-hour window and a late-cancellation fee applies. And if you would rather move your date than cancel outright, we are glad to reschedule based on availability.
The terms, plainly
Cancel with 24+ hours' notice: no fee. As long as you let us know at least a full day before your scheduled move, there is no charge to cancel. The more notice you can give us, the better, since it lets us offer that slot to another family who needs it.
Cancel within 24 hours: a late fee applies. If you cancel inside the 24-hour window, a late-cancellation fee applies. This is not us being rigid. By then we have already committed a crew and a truck to your date and turned away other work to hold it, and the fee covers that commitment.
Rescheduling instead of cancelling. If your move is not off, just moved, tell us and we will do our best to fit your new date into the schedule. Depending on how busy we are, we can often find you a new slot without much trouble. And because a reschedule keeps your booking with us rather than releasing the slot entirely, it is usually the smoother path when your timeline shifts but the move itself is still happening. A quick call is almost always enough to sort it out.
How to cancel or reschedule
The fastest, cleanest way to handle any change is a quick phone call, followed by an email so there is a written record for both of us.
First, call our office at (773) 275-4100 as soon as you know your plans have changed. Talking to a person is the quickest way to confirm a cancellation or lock in a new date. Then send a short note to info@wcmoving.com confirming the change, so both sides have it in writing. Have your move date and booking details handy so we can pull up your file right away.
That is really it. No hoops and no runaround. Just let us know and we will take care of it.
