Elizabeth Forteo's move had two of the most common wrinkles a move can have. Her date changed, and her things weren't going straight to a new home; they were going into storage. Neither of those is dramatic. They're the ordinary complications of real life, and the measure of a moving company is that they stay ordinary. Here's how each one went.

The date change

Plans move. Closings slip, leases shift, work gets in the way, and the moving date you booked three weeks ago stops working. When Elizabeth needed to switch hers, she called Josh at the office, and he switched it. That's the whole story, and that's the point: rescheduling with us is always free, no matter when you do it. The storage stop

The second wrinkle was the destination. Elizabeth's belongings were headed into storage, which changes the job in a way people don't always think about. A crew unloading into a home places things in rooms; a crew unloading into storage is building a stack that has to survive its whole stay, hold its order, and come back out without a dig. Her two-man team packed the truck so everything rode safely, then placed her items into the unit the same way: organized, stable, heavier things low, nothing crushed under anything, and arranged so the stay ends as neatly as it began. It's the kind of care you only notice later, on the day everything comes back out.

That return trip is the other half of moving-related storage, and it's why keeping the whole thing with one company pays off.
