Bolingbrook to Glen Ellyn Movers: Two Pickups, One New Home
"We had a great experience with Windy City Movers. Brandon Z, Ankherdene, and Sansar did an awesome job. We had two stops (our house and a storage unit) before moving into our new place in Glen Ellyn, and they handled everything without any issues. These guys worked incredibly hard all day and never slowed down. Brandon did an excellent job leading the crew and kept us informed throughout the entire process, which made everything feel organized and stress-free. Moving is stressful, but this crew made it a lot easier." — Jamie & Shannon Kelly
Jamie and Shannon Kelly's move had a shape a lot of moves have and few people plan for: their household existed in two places at once. Most of it was at the house on Monroe Road in Bolingbrook. The rest was waiting in a storage unit over on East Boughton Road. And all of it needed to land, together and organized, at the new place on Lawrence Avenue in Glen Ellyn. That's not a move from A to B. It's A plus B to C, and doing it well in a single day is a small piece of logistics worth explaining.
Merging two households into one truck
A two-origin day lives or dies on load order, because the truck has to be packed at stop one with stop two already in mind. Brandon Z, Ankherdene, and Sansar loaded the Bolingbrook house knowing exactly how much room the storage unit's contents would need and where in the load they'd ride, so when the truck pulled up on Boughton Road, the unit's contents had a place waiting instead of a puzzle starting over. Get that wrong and you're unloading half a truck in a storage facility parking lot to make things fit. Get it right and the second stop is quick, and everything arrives in Glen Ellyn as one coherent load, unpacking like a single household instead of two piles.
The Kellys said the crew "never slowed down," and on a two-stop day that stamina is structural, not just admirable. Every stop adds a load-in or load-out, and a crew that fades by mid-afternoon turns a one-day plan into a long evening. This one didn't fade.
The informed part
Shannon and Jamie also called out that Brandon kept them informed throughout, and on a multi-stop day that matters more than usual, because the customers usually aren't standing next to the truck for all three addresses. Knowing where the crew is, what's loaded, and when to be at the new house is what makes a complicated day feel, in their word, organized. Stress on moving day mostly grows in the gaps where you don't know what's happening; Brandon just didn't leave any gaps.
If your move has more than two addresses
Plenty do. A storage unit that finally gets emptied, a parent's garage holding the overflow, a stop at the old apartment for the last few things. We build those stops into the plan and the estimate from the start, one crew, one truck, one bill, so tell us every address when you book, even the one you're embarrassed the boxes have been sitting at since 2023. The western suburbs are home ground for us, from Bolingbrook and Glen Ellyn over to Naperville and beyond.
Thanks to Jamie and Shannon for the detailed review and for naming the whole crew. Enjoy Lawrence Avenue.
If your move has an extra stop or two in it, our local moving crews handle multi-stop days all the time, storage units included. Call (773) 275-4100, email info@wcmoving.com, or start with a free quote with all your addresses in it.
